Purpose of the role:
The Commercial Delivery Manager is accountable for the successful commercial delivery of strategic, high‑value, multi‑partner programmes and portfolios that are critical to Ceres’ long‑term value creation, revenue growth, and technology deployment strategy. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the role owns delivery execution while helping to shape and implement commercial delivery strategy, including governance, risk, and control frameworks that ensure Ceres’ Statements of Work (SoWs), partnerships, and licensing programmes are structured and delivered to maximise commercial return and partner success.
The role leads complex commercial programmes and portfolios, with responsibility for KPI monitoring, invoicing, RAIL administration, risk registers, delivery plans, IP governance, resource allocation, and cost control, ensuring full adherence to contractual obligations and performance metrics. Acting as a trusted, commercially astute partner to Business Line sponsors, the role influences investment decisions, risk appetite, and contractual delivery, serves as the escalation point for programme‑level risks and disputes, and plays an active role in senior governance forums including Steering Committees and Management Committees.
As the primary commercial interface for executive‑level customers and partners, the Commercial Delivery Manager represents Ceres in senior negotiations, delivery reviews, and strategic alignment discussions, while providing clear insight to senior leadership on delivery health, financial performance, and commercial exposure. The role supports programme and portfolio P&L oversight, including revenue recognition, margin protection, forecasting, scenario planning, and performance reporting, and sets and enforces robust risk management and change‑control frameworks in collaboration with Legal and Finance teams. In addition, the role contributes to continuous improvement across Ceres’ commercial delivery capability, supports business development through deal shaping and transition from contract to execution, and ensures consistent, high‑quality customer experience and effective integration of technology, IP, and commercial frameworks into partner operations.
